Philippines: 2nd FGD Sunday Youth Ministry
The Future Generation Department (FGD), in partnership with the Heavenly Top Gun (HTG) Missionaries, held the 2nd FGD Sunday Youth Ministry and Special Sunday Service Program on October 19, 2025, at the UPF Peace Embassy in Quezon City. This initiative aims to build a regular youth ministry that spiritually prepares young people before worship and guides them to actively participate in church life. The program also strengthens fellowship, faith education, and leadership development among the youth.
Youth Ministry
The youth program began with 27 participants and opened with an interactive icebreaker to build connection among the youth. This was followed by a holy song practice of “Holy Mother Han,” which created a prayerful atmosphere. A Korean language learning session was facilitated by Ms. Kim Kana from the HTG Korea Team, where the participants learned the basics of Hangul and simple Korean expressions in a fun and engaging way.
After a short break, Ms. Raijeli Colati, HTG Asia Pacific missionary, delivered a Pure Love testimony on maintaining purity, building good character, and preparing for a future family based on moral values. Her message inspired the youth to make wise and responsible choices in life. The youth ministry segment helped deepen the participants’ faith and strengthened their fellowship.
Sunday Service
After the youth gathering, the participants joined the main congregation for the Special Sunday Service. Mr. Jun Young Teves, Director of the Future Generation Department, delivered the sermon on the theme of dedication to Heavenly Parent and True Parents. He encouraged the second generation to take ownership of the providence, live with purpose, and develop a strong life of faith. He also encouraged Blessed Families to support youth development by actively engaging their children in FGD programs.
As the final part of the service, Ms. Ella Mae Perez, FGD Area 1 Youth Coordinator, led a recognition ceremony for the Asia Pacific Heavenly Top Gun missionaries. Those who had completed their service in the Philippines were honored before their departure to their next mission areas abroad. The congregation offered prayers and encouragement for their continued mission journey.
Conclusion
The program successfully strengthened youth involvement in Sunday worship and deepened their connection to faith and community. The integration of the youth ministry with the Sunday Service created a meaningful and inspiring environment for the youth. The program concluded with group fellowship and a commitment to continue the weekly Sunday Youth Ministry as a foundation for raising future leaders of faith.
