  • Palau: 4th Anniversary of PCLC Watch Party

We have been continuously reaching out to the nuns and Hermana Decherong. We visited Sister Tonie numerous times, sharing vegetables and spending time discussing Character Education for Catholic schools, as well as requesting prayers for Holy Mother Han.
Hermana Decherong, who is active in the Apostolic (Pentecostal) Church, played a key role in connecting us with Pastor Helga.

    Reflections on PCLC:
Sister Tonie was deeply inspired by Chairman Masaichi Hori’s remarks during the PCLC program. She expressed that she learned much about the persecution in Japan and the need to strengthen Christianity in Asia. Despite her age and health challenges, she remains eager and determined to promote Christianity throughout Asia.

  • Palau: Character based Abstinence Education

We were warmly welcomed by Principal Nancy Renguul of Belau Modekngei High School. A total of 23 students and 5 faculty members attended and were ready to participate in the Character-Based Abstinence Education Program.

Tim Sisserson presented Part 1: Avoiding Shortcuts, emphasizing the importance of resisting early sex, alcohol, drugs, and tobacco by developing the attitude: “Think the Good, Desire the Good, and Act the Good.”

Margaret Sisserson presented Part 2: Educating for True Love Goals, focusing on building virtues of goodness and preparing for Marriage 101. She shared how experiencing lasting love in the four realms of heart prepares one for eternal life.

A Japanese JICA volunteer teacher, Mr. Suzuki, was deeply moved by the message about teaching love and expressed his willingness to assist with origami activities for the upcoming Community College outreach.

Later, Principal Nancy called to share encouraging feedback — students had gone to her office expressing how much they appreciated the presentation, describing it as “practical knowledge to think about during their growing period.”
